Method Acting Wasn't What I Expected
Before beginning my training with Lauren Unger-Geoffroy, I imagined acting as something technical. I expected to learn camera positions, scene work, and performance techniques.
Instead, I found myself learning about presence.
Lauren challenged us to become more aware of ourselves, our emotions, and our instincts. The exercises weren't about pretending to be someone else. They were about removing the barriers that stop us from responding truthfully.
It became clear that great acting starts with genuine human connection, something that has also made me a better communicator away from the stage and microphone.
